Malaysian Football: Freefalling into oblivion

Another year another suffering...watching our lads lose 3-2 to the Vietnamese hurts...large part of the pain was cause by the nature of our defeat...However watching our lads lifeless performance against the Thais was unbearable...to put it simply we were outplayed, outrun and outwitted by the Thais...

I really thought that after the 2007 Asian Cup debacle F.A.M has learnt their lesson...however this was not the case. Coach Sathia too should opt for a more dynamic approach in attack rather than relying too much on our attacks from the flanks...he should seen this when we lost the Final of the Merdeka Cup in October... What baffles me is the exclusion of kedah Captain Victor Andraag who in my opinion was the best Malaysian Centre-Back these past two years...

After our lost in the Merdeka Cup Final some were calling for Sathia's head which I think was quite unfair...however after F.A.M announced they will extend Sathia's contract the light at the end of the tunnel seems to be farther than expected. i have nothing against coach Sathia, however the two years given to him has not seen encouraging progress... I think that the under-20 suits him however the National Team was too big of a task for Sathia... If he can't steer us to be the best team in ASEAN, I think there is no need to prolong the engagement.

The F.A.M should be more objective and pragmatic... We should target to be the best team in Asean first...Than qualify reqularly for the Asian Cup and the Olympics...After reaching the semis of the Asian Cup than we can dream of qualifying for the world cup which I hope will be done during my life time.

To coach Sathia, A good coach never blames defeat on one player alone...especially in PUBLIC!! To Shebby Singh, you truly have a mouth made from faeces... Why in the hell would you said what you said about Syed Adney's inclusion in the first 11 against the Thais??? To criticise the lad even before the whistle was blown was bloody unfair!!!We know you have "inside information" as you were once part of MyTeam but too lazy to get a coaching license to become a "proper" coach... Can't you give the lad some encouragement??? you do want our lads to win right??? YOU ARE A MALAYSIAN RIGHT??!!As the only international success you had is the SEA GAMES gold back in '89, I suggest you just shut yer gob and SOD OFF!!!

Enough with all the emotions...let's us revisit the beginning of the decline...it's all started when F.A.M introduced our first fully professional football league (The M-league) back in '94... (will be continued in the 2nd piece titled Malaysian Football: The F.A.M question)

The Ghost of Ibrahim Libya

On 19th November 1985 14 civilians and 4 policemen died in Memali,Kedah in a tragedy that divided the Malay Muslim community at that time...the Malaysian goverment called this episode "the memali incident"...most called it "the memali tragedy"...I'll forever call it "THE MEMALI MASSACRE"!! The authorities say that they were in danger at that time so they have to open fire...Yeah..opening fire to a bunch of farmers and kampung folks..some even blame Ibrahim Libya saying that if he just let they arrest him under the Internal Security Act, none of this will happen... Well it is his freedom we are talking about...it is his choice...by the way the I.S.A is detention without trial...how civilized is that??To all you who worship Dr.Mahathir and believe that he's the best P.M we ever had...well just remember 19 November 1985...the widowed and the children of the murdered in Memali that day...To Dr.Mahathir and Musa Hitam I'll hope the ghost of Ibrahim Libya will forever haunt you!!

pictures of the murdered of Memali (WARNING!! Some of you might find these pics a bit gory!!)

-pictures are taken from syakur ibrahim's blog

Currently I'm still doing my research on the Memali Massacre...here are my resources... the Malaysian government white paper and conspiracy theory...we must give the murdered of Memali a voice...LET TRUTH BE KNOWN!!!

Ketuanan Rakyat

I think we all agree now that "ketuanan melayu" is a failed concept...therefore we must replace it with a more progressive and beneficial concept...Anwar Ibrahim wants to replace it with "ketuanan rakyat"...he's been pushing for that concept even before the 8th of march political tsunami...the thing is what do we want to be uphold in this new concept...down below in no particular order are the list of things(whatever came through my mind presently) that I want to be uphold in the "ketuanan rakyat" concept...if any of you wants to add other things please do so...
  1. Social Justice
  2. Equality of Rights
  3. Equitable distribution
  4. Welfare State
  5. Freedom of expression

Era of overeaction

I think Sir Alex Ferguson (manager of Manchester United Football Club) said it best, "we live in an era of overreaction". In my opinion the whole world overreacted when Barack Obama won the 2008 U.S Presidential election...

President-elect Obama has yet be inaugurated and will only enter the Oval Office on 20th January 2008 and yet it seems the whole worlds' hopes, dreams and future is rested on his shoulder... He is like the new "messiah" and the savior of mankind...

The fact remains that now is not the best time to become the President of the United States of America... As we all know currently the yanks are facing one of their worst financial crisis in history... Furthermore Obama is also facing pressing issues such as the "war on terror" , U.S foreign policy , Guantanamo Bay and so on...

I'm not the kind of man who believe in "first impressions"...I think I'll wait for Obama's foreign policy before jumping on the Obama-Mania fad.

Mahathir-style economic remedies

With all the brouhaha surrounding a report (firstly reported by Xinhua, the Chinese government news agency) that the U.S is adopting similar measures as we did during the 1997 financial crisis in dealing with current financial crisis, I was called to post a two-page paper I wrote last year(on this particular subject) for my International Monetary Economics class. I know it's like a month to late but I just found the piece last weekend. I hope after reading this piece, all of you will have a better understanding on the 1997 Asian financial crisis and how Malaysia dealt with it.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Did Capital Controls Save Malaysia?

The economies of the Asian “miracle” countries were damaged and ruined by the financial crisis in 1997-98. In the late 1980’s and early 1990’s the whole world was in awe of these countries economic performance and growth. Asian economic miracle countries were experiencing high growth rates and 8-12% increase in their GDP, thus the dub “Asian economic miracle countries”. However the East Asian economic miracle turned into a financial debacle in July 1997(the beginning of the Asian financial crisis).

South Korea, Thailand and Indonesia were the worst affected countries. As a result they were forced to impose IMF designed programs and measures to manage the financial crisis. These countries committed to float their exchange rates, raise interest rates, tighten fiscal policy (at least initially), open up their financial markets to foreigners, close troubled banks and financial institutions, and undertake a range of other structural reforms in return for the financial assistance from the IMF.

The same cannot be said about Malaysia. Malaysia took a completely opposite approach in dealing with the financial crisis. The Malaysian authorities imposed sweeping controls on capital-account transactions, fixed the exchange rate at RM3.80 per US$ (a rate that represented a 10 percent appreciation relative to the level at which the ringgit had been trading immediately before the controls), cut interest rates, and embarked on a policy of reflation.

This marked the beginning of the debate whether capital controls or the orthodox Keynesian method (capital liberalisation) is better in addressing financial crises. Apart from that the question lingering in the mind of every economist is “did capital control save Malaysia?” In answering both of these question economists compared the recovery of Malaysia (capital controls) with Thailand and South Korea (IMF measures). The fact that South Korea and Thailand recovered simultaneously imply that capital controls does not play a significant role in Malaysia recovery. In addition the financial crisis worsens in Malaysia in the middle of 1998 whereas it has significantly mellowed down in Thailand and South Korea. However, according to Ethan Kaplan and Dani Rodrik in their paper “Did the Malaysian Capital Controls Work?” suggests the opposite. Their research shows that Malaysian policies produced faster economic recovery, smaller declines in employment and real wages and more rapid turnaround in the stock market compared to the countries who implements the IMF plan.

According to Jomo K.S in his article “Malaysia’s September 1998 Controls: Background, Context, Impacts, Comparisons, Implications, Lessons” capital controls did not cause the recovery in Malaysia to be slower than in the other crisis countries. The 1998 collapse was less deep in Malaysia than in Thailand and Indonesia, while the recovery in Malaysia has been faster after early 1999. However this is because the pre-crisis problems in Malaysia were less serious to begin with owing to strengthened prudential regulations after the late 1980s’ banking crisis (when non-performing loans went up to 30 per cent of total loans). There were strict controls on Malaysian private borrowing from abroad with borrowers generally required to demonstrate likely foreign exchange earnings from the proposed investments to be financed with foreign credit unlike South Korea, Thailand and Indonesia.

Chandra Athukorala in his book “Crisis and Recovery in Malaysia” suggests that carefully designed capital control measures were successful in providing Malaysian policy makers with a viable setting for undertaking Keynesian reflationary policies without adverse backwash effects on FDI. Controls also assisted banking and corporate restructuring by facilitating the mobilization of domestic resources.

In conclusion, capital controls did save Malaysia and played a very significant role in her economic recovery. This is because Malaysia can afford to implement capital control measures as Malaysia crisis was not as deep as Thailand and Indonesia. We will never know whether capital controls measures will have the same profound effect on other countries. Jomo K.S suggestion of caution in making gross generalizations and instead urges greater attention to context and detail should be observed this is because as he argued the actual significance of the Malaysian controls is emphasized, before some policy lessons are drawn.

Revolusi '48: Review of the "1st draft"

If history was written by the triumphant, this is an account of the vanquished....

Couple of weeks ago I went to the Emergency Festival to watch the screening of Fahmi Reza's Revolusi '48...Revolusi '48 is a sequel to the highly acclaimed 10 Tahun Sebelum Merdeka. If 10 Tahun Sebelum Merdeka focuses on the 1947 "Hartal"(boycott), Revolusi '48 focuses on why young proletariates join the armed struggle against our british colonial masters and focuses on the fact that the Malayan emergency is really a "WAR". Our british colonial masters used the term "emergency" because of the pressure from tin and rubber capitalists since their losses would not have been covered by Lloyds insurers if it had been termed a "war".

Just to say that this documentary is good is an understatement. The picture below shows a British bomber plane dropping 500 pounds bombs on communists targets in the Malayan jungle. In the film there is a footage of this plane doing just that. They don't show or mention anything about that in our "history" textbooks. That's how "good" the movie is!!The best part is this is only the first draft..

Fahmi decided the first draft just to gauge the response of the viewers.. You see communism and CPM(Communist Party of Malaya) is quite a taboo subject in Malaysia...However, at this day and age who cares really??we just want the TRUTH to be told and yes WE CAN HANDLE THE TRUTH..

The truth is although our ideologies differ, the fact remains that the 1948 revolutionaries fought and shed blood for our independence...during the Japanese occupation they fight alongside the british against the Japanese..the bloody brits even gave them medals for this!!and yes, there is also a footage in this documentary showing just that!!Just because the british capitalists is feeling pressure from the working class (because of the strong presence of the leftists in the labor unions).. They decided to outlaw the CPM ( Communist Party of Malaya) and the MNP (Malay Nationalist Party-a left leaning party) and detained them without trial.. This is all done to safeguard their interests in Malaya..

Malayans who joined the 1948 revolution is the authentic freedom fighter. Yet every year during the Merdeka celebration they don't even get mentioned. For the sake of our nationhood, for once just put ideologies aside and give justice to our leftist freedom fighters. To all of you, history will not be boring if you know right facts and read the right books. However don't just take my word for it, go and watch the film...

Hanya Melayu faham aspirasi Melayu

Salam sore,
tadi aku tengok berita rtm 1....terpampanglah muka "hensem" khir toyo...dia pon dok ceritalah pasal hal pkns...pastu dah habis anak wak joyo merepek tiba-tiba pemberita tu keluarkanlah kenyataan dari alumni kelab-kelab umno luar negara... "Hanya MELAYU faham aspirasi MELAYU"... kenyataan ni buat aku fikir sejenak...

  • kalau "Hanya MELAYU faham aspirasi MELAYU",kenapa raja petra maseh ditahan I.S.A??? sangat kejam!!!raja petra menyambut raya puasa dan deepavali dalam tahanan...
mereka sume ni MENJAHANAMKAN Melayu...jgnlah komrad sume terpengaruh...walaupun aku ni muslim melayu minang tapi sumpah aku tak paham aspirasi "United Malays" nih... jadi aku buat kesimpulan, "HANYA MELAYU BANGSAT faham aspirasi MENJAHANAMKAN MELAYU"..
sekian,terima kasih...

Ketuanan Melayu

Pestabola Merdeka 2008

We lost the final on penalties (5-6) to Vietnam...big deal!!.I'm proud of our boys!!..The whole tournament we score 18 goals and conceded none...we are just unlucky in the final...I went to the final on Sunday... although we lost I know that our boys give their all...kudos to the Vietnamese...they play high quality football in that final...I always rate the Vietnamese team highly because of their performance in the 2007 Asian Cup which they went until the quaters...

The problem is that FAM invited so many below par team like Nepal,Myanmar and Bangladesh.. I think the FAM wanted the stadium to be filled with PATI's...Maybe FAM invited Afghanistan on a humanitarian basis ( I can live with that)... Although we won 4-0 against nepal and myanmar..there's nothing to shout about...it's expected...the true test is Vietnam and we were unlucky...

I think that our game is too one-dimensional...we rely too much on our flanks...we need to mix it up a bit...the Vietnamese show us that the short-passing game is best suited for south-east Asians... our players seldom move off the ball...and if someone made a terrific run no one pick him up... all of our moves is created from midfield...when our playmaker was marked he couldn't set the game.. the thing that baffle me is that from what i see the Vietnamese did not have a playmaker...their game is short-passing two touch football...and their movements was superb...I think we should study the way vietnam plays...if we can implement it I think we can be more successful..

What we lack is a natural born playmaker or a midfield general...the last one was Yap Wai Loon back in 1995..after that all of our playmakers are not up to par...bacause of that i think we should play a short-passing two touch game...but not too defensive...I think we have a good striker in Safee Sali...Khyril Muhymeen is a natural winger...for the first time in 10 years we have two solid goalkeepers in Helmi Eliza and Syed Adney...what we need is too play according to our strenghts... for me coach sathia is doing a good job so far..not great but we are improving playing and ranking wise...

Some people wanted a change in the head coach position of our national football team... I think that will be a step backward...people who knows their football know that the ultimate test for this malaysian team is the AFF Suzuki Cup (used to be called Tiger Cup) in December...after that we can better assess our TIGERS...

The Love of My life

Now let me tell you about the "love of my life"...A fiery romance that is now in its 17th year...yes... this romance/relationship started when i was 8..A whirlwind romance that gave me elation and ectasy.. sometimes even makes me cry...Mates,this is the story of my love affair with Selangor F.C...

It all started in 1991, I was 8 at that time..I went to my almarhum pak itam's house..there i saw him with my pak uda watching some footie on tv..being an inquisitive child, i asked them.. "what are you watching?"..."football" answered my pak uda..."our football?" i asked.."yes,Selangor Football"...then something magical happened...i sit with them and watch the highlights of the 1991 Malaysian Cup highlights...i was lovestruck (still am)..I swore allegiance and loyalty towards Selangor and my life changed forever....

We didn't win anything for the first five years of "our romance"...i suffered many heartbreak... the 1991 Malaysian Cup Final..we lost 3-1 to Johor ( damn you ervin boban!!)..after that my heart was broken once more..we lost the 1994 Malaysian Cup semi-final to Singapore(the eternal ENEMY!!)....however i kept on believing...

I was rewarded in 1995 when ken worden brought local (i mean selangor boys lah)young players into the team...their are a hungry and determined lot...with ken worden brand of short-passing game we won the 1995 Malaysia cup...and keep the cup for two more years!!!! WE WON THE MALAYSIA CUP 3 YEARS ON THE TROT!!! 1995-1996-1997....this was the best selangor side i've ever since...however i was not honest in our "relationship"...i have a mistress..in 1995 i started "seeing" Manchester United on the side...when we hit rock bottom and were relegated in 1998 i started to stray....however we settled our predicament and ramble on....we won the cup two more times in 2002 and 2005...this year we made it to the final of the F.A and Malaysia cup but were beaten by the same scoreline (3-2) by the "better" Kedah side

This year Selangor hired the first "professional" manager in Malaysian Footbal History...Zakaria Abdul Rahim or Abang Zek did quite well in his first year and endeared himself to the shah alam faithful...At the end of this season abg zek presented his visionary plan in making Selangor the best in asia by 2015...his plan is to qualify and win the AFC Cup next year....by doing so we will qulify to the AFC champions league as a "wildcard" entrant...and ultimately lift the AFC Champion League by 2015...

I have good feeling about next year...the 2009 have a good mix of experience and youth... adding three more selangor boys to the squad was a good move by the new coach (k.devan)...the only questionable move was the addition of k.nanthakumar(nantha) and khairul anuar baharom(acong)... you see sometimes nantha is not comfortable on the ball and often lose possesion...acong on the other hand is 34...and deemed too old by the shah alam faithful...however i have great faith in both of them...they are true proffesional and i know they will lead and be the catalyst of the selangor revival 2009!!!

farewell and godspeed

I was shocked to hear that Faisal Tehrani has retired from blogging...Faisal is one of my major influences in writing...I've read most of his historical fiction books..the latest one "Saasatul Ibaad" was the best of the lot!!
In his last entry Faisal ask forgiveness to anyone that he has wronged or "hurt" by his writing or actions...you see Faisal is goingto perform hajj and I didn't suspect anything because it is quite common for pilgrims to seek forgiveness before starting their journey to the Haramain...
However I was shocked when one of my mates who knows Faisal quite well tell me that apart from going to hajj Faisal was retiring from the blogsphere...and he already deleted his blog tehranifaisal.blogspot.com..
I really enjoyed Faisal's writing be it in his blogs or his books...furthermore I am greatly influenced by his view that "writers must be responsible and educate their readers".. and that "writing is one form of Da'wah"...well Faisal...I can only say godspeed and Fi Amanillah...moga-moga haji abang Faisal ialah haji yang mabrur..amiin

Lepaq performing arts Cafe, Hartamas

Last friday night I went To a place call lepaq cafe at Hartamas..I went there to see an acoustic performance of a "shoegaze" band called "WITHERSPOON"..At first i was a bit reluctant because a shoegaze band performing an acoustic set...mmm..interesting....furthermore it's in Hartamas of all places...the second most pretentious place in KL (to all pretentious Hartamasian, YES OFFENCE)... However after finding out that there is no cover charge (you see we malaysian love free entrance to anything...we prefer not to pay for concerts, theatre, sporting events etc....) I rushed down there with a mate of mine who happens to know the frontman of Witherspoon..

We arrive there at 8.40...what I notice is that the hotness per capita ratio is quite high here...I personally think it is the one of the highest in the country...the performance is going to start at 9pm...the band arrived around 9.20.. typical malaysians!!they started their performance around 10...the set is semi-acoustic not a full acoustic set as i thought earlier...for a first time semi-acoustic performance Witherspoon has exceed my expactations...

the acoustics of the cafe is quite good...it has a very cosy ambience...the food and drinks was ok and the prices is similar to your neighbourhood cafe/kopitiam...for a place to hangout and relax, lepaq performing arts cafe have my sealed approval...I will definitely frequent the place mainly because of the music and the high hotness per capita ratio..

For further information on Witherspoon..

*Witherspoon will be performing an "acoustic special" on the 27th November at lepaq performing arts cafe..I'll definite be there!

Patriotism

During a round of teh tarik and other concoctions that will surely contribute to diabetes in the future, a mate of mine asked me..."How can you say that you are not a patriot and yet you love this country and her people?"
well mate, let me tell you why...the ruling class and establishment has been using "patriotism" to make the masses become more obedient and follow all of their oppressing policies, rules and laws..whoever who does not "kow-tow" to them is a "traitor" and deemed to be "un-patriotic"...
for example the united states declared "war on terror" after 911..the country was divided by this.. there are pro-war and anti-war individuals and groups....the anti-war people were deemed un-patriotic and un-american just because they are against the policy of the establishment...
back closer to home..i think most of you are familiar with the legend of hang tuah and hang jebat... to put it simply hang tuah is a patriot while hang jebat loves his country and her people and that's why he goes against the tyrant sultan and stage a coup...like he said.."raja adil raja disembah, raja zalim raja disanggah.."(the translation of this qoute can be found at wikipedia)..
hang jebat rebelled after the sultan decreed that hang tuah was to be executed because he was found guilty fooling around with one of the sultan's concubine (a slander that was spread by hang tuah's enemies in the palace itself...)..jebat who thought tuah was dead rebelled and ran amok..he killed all of tuah's enemies and took the palace by force...because tuah was dead, nobody can stop jebat..at this time the sultan regretted executing tuah..
at the end of the story hang tuah killed hang jebat after the sultan found out that hang tuah was still alive after all and ordered him to kill jebat..although hang tuah considers hang jebat his "brother" because as a patriot he must follow the sultan orders...
people who love their country and fight to protect or liberate often found themselves taken by the angel of death too early...just like che guevara, hang jebat and burhanuddin al-helmy(just to name a few)...if they live they will live the hard life often mistreated and forgotten...such individual is Allahyarhamah Shamsiah Fakeh who died just 3 days ago...although we share different ideologies and believes.. i have the deepest sense of respect towards her because the freedom that i am enjoying now is the result of her struggle...
I hope every Malaysian loves their own country and her people...Let's us all EMBRACE MALAYSIANA...

Nasi Kandar Kudu Bin Abdul

hello there...it's only like 10 minutes to lunchtime...lunch for me is the most important meal of the day...if you are having a shitty day...a good lunch can lift yer spirit up...when the clock hit 1pm.. most of us will be wasting 5-10 minutes asking a very rhetorical question.. "where to lunch ah?".. at the end we always end up eating at the same place...

well today boys n girls i'm recommending you the best nasi kandar in K.L.... NASI KANDAR KUDU BIN ABDUL...located at JALAN T.A.R...across maju junction mall...if you missed it there is something wrong with yer eyesight...after mamak jln bunus and their heavenly gulai rusa (DAAAAMMMNN!!) has gone...kudu bin abdul is THE BEST NASI KANDAR IN K.L...

not many people know that this used to be p.ramlee's favourite nasi kandar place in K.L as Panggung Wayang P.Ramlee used to be is just in walking distance...P.ramlee usual are ...ikan goreng, daging kicap rendang n telur masin...I'll recommend you their ayam goreng bawang and daging kicap rendang(heavenly)...kudu created this daging kicap rendang..his original recipe (well Mr.Kudu..I SALUTE YOU!!).

for those of you who wants a lighter meal they have yor typical mamak fare..but something must be wrong with you..you don't go to a nasi kandar place and order mee goreng...it's UN-MALAYSIAN to do so.. hahaha...the price for a nasi kandar meal at Kudu's I think per person is not more that rm10..if you pay more than that then you have one hell of an apetite...

the best thing about kudu bin abdul is that the recipe is not traditional penang style...it's has it's own original and wonderful taste..we can say that nasi kandar kudu bin abdul is a K.L style nasi kandar( i know some of you might beg to differ..but i don't give a damn...it's my blog..haha)..

our penangites friends might say this is not nasi kandar(we all know how fussy penangites about their food)...but i'll say to them "this is the garden city of lights(k.l)..not pearl of the orient (penang)..so shut up and eat yer food"...show some respect to Mr.Kudu and his daging rendang kicap...if any of you have a problem with this nasi kandar, you'll have a problem with me..comprende??...

well i'm off to melawati to try this nasi padang place my hill-side friend recommended to me...he told me that this place has been operating since 1982...don't worry i'll give you my two cents about the place lunchtime tomorrow...so read the same blog...same url tomorrow..selamat menjamu selera...have a nice day!! : )

Top of the morning to yer!

hello there...because of the passing of Shamsiah Fakeh..I've decided that today I'll post feelgood and "fluff" "pieces"..things that will make us smile and proud to be Malaysian..no malaysian politics for today..it's too depressing...and I'll would think that Shamsiah Fakeh wants us to honour her armed struggle for independence by celebrating the fact that WE ARE MALAYSIAN...AND PROUD TO BE ONE...that's all I have to say...au voir..

Kisah Pemilihan Agung MCA 2008

Salam sejahtera komrad sekalian...

pertama sekali saya ingin mengucapkan tahniah kpd Dr.Ng Yen Yen kerna berjaya menjadi wanita pertama memenangi kerusi naib presiden MCA...ini kali pertama seorang wanita berbuat demikian dlm parti MCA (rasa-rasanya dalam sejarah politik Malaysia ini pertama kali kot)... dengan kemenangan ini sekurang-kurangnya "girl power" dapat bernafas kembali di politik Malaysia...

sejak Kak Pidah dan Kak Jat kena lipat masa PRU 2008..."girl power" dalam politik malaysia macam dah nazak...nyawa-nyawa ikan...kemenangan dr.ng yen yen harap-harapnya dapat mengembalikan "keseimbangan"... keseimbangan itu penting...kalau tengok filem star wars..Yoda selalu sebut "balance in the force"...dan sepatutnya anakin skywalker membawa "balance to the force"...tapi akhirnya dia jadi sith lord..kita tak boleh marah anakin..sebab kalau dia tak jadi darth vader..tak wujudlah filem-filem star wars...(kita bincang pasal star wars di entri yang lain...dah nak terbabas dah ni... : )

KITA PERLUKAN PEMIMPIN "ORANG MALAYSIA"...

lalu ka ting pon berkata..."umno is too dominant"...wah....dah pencen baru datang semangat bertarung???..tak takut hisham tun hussein hunus keris ke...memang umno terlalu dominan... sume kena ikut cakap depa...Tsunami PRU 2008 sebab semangat "A.B.U"-"Asal Bukan Umno"... MCA hilang undi Cina sebab bersekongkol ngan UMNO...yelah..bila orang cina bersuara sket.. keris dihunus..dahlah pegang keris pon tak betul...sekali aku lipat berterabur tulang rusuk.. takleh nak bawak bincang langsung...orang cina ni dah lama kena "kencing" ngan umno...dengan orang melayu dia cakap "jangan sokong Pakatan...sebab ada D.A.P...derang tu anti-islam dan anti-melayu"... kat orang cina dia kata "jangan sokong Pakatan..sebab ada PAS...nanti derang menang...derang buat Hudud..habislah sume orang cina...habis sume kena potong tangan nanti..."
inilah kenyataan yang maha rasis dan merupakan satu penghinaan yang amat besar kepada kaum tionghua di negara kita...kalau aku berbangsa cina dan ade orang umno cakap camni depan aku..aku tumbuk muka dia sampai beratur gigi masuk perut...kenapa orang cina nak takut hukum hudud...kenapa nak takut kena potong tangan.. orang cina ni sume pencuri ke??...kepada komrad-komrad sume..renung-renungkanlah..selamat

Towering Malaysian: Ishak Ismail-Kisah Pak Cik Sahak

salam sejahtera komrad sekalian...
hari ini, Isnin 20 Okotber 2008, aku telah membuat keputusan maha berat...sume kerna sorang pemandu teksi....setelah memboikot utusan malaysia selama 10 tahun...akhirnya aku beli jugak hari ni...kenapa? hari ni bukan hari ahad yg dimana dlm utusan ada pancaindera.....aku terpaksa berhenti memboikot utusan sebab pak cik Sahak...tapi semalam jela..terkejut aku..harga rm1.50..nipis je..penipu rasis bangsat utusan nih!
Apa yg spesel sgt pasal pak cik sahak ni sampai boikot utusan malaysia selama 10 tahun dihentikan?...haa..ni kisahnye..Pak Cik Sahak ni pemandu teksi...tapi bukan calang2 pemandu teksi...dia ada sarjana (masters) dlm "corporate communication"... Pak Cik Sahak menerima ijazah Sarjana Komunikasi Korporat dari Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Serdang pada Majlis Konvokesyen UPM Ke-32 semalam kot...respek btol aku ngan pak cik sahak...menjadi kebanggaan rakyat malaysia dan kaum veteran...umur dah setengah abad tapi masih nak timba ilmu...
kita ni yg muda belia malas...malu lah sket ngan pak cik sahak...lepas baca kisah pak cik sahak ni terbakar lak semangat aku nak sambung sarjana... kepada komrad yg tgh buat sarjana ke professional paper ke...bila dtg time susah tu dan korang nak give up..ingatlah pak cik sahak... bayangkanlah umur 50++ masuk dewan kuliah...belajar ngan budak yg lagi muda dari anak dia..bila ditanya kenapa sambung sarjana..pak cik sahak cakap dia nak jadi contoh yg baik kepada anak2 dia....bila ditanya pasal rahsia kejayaan..pak cik sahak kata yang dia menelaah 2 jam sehari..Dia menelaah dalam teksi sambil tunggu penumpang..respek!!

tapi mesti korang akan kata...selalu je org tua dpt sarjana...takkan ar sampai kau beli utusan yg kau dh boikot selama 10 tahun...ada 3 sebab..

  1. ni berita frontpage utusan...selalunye pasal politik rasis takpon umno..naik jelak aku..tapi hari ni tidak..tu yg spesel...siap ada gambar pak cik sahak dlm teksi berjubah konvo...takdela muka pak lah ke tok jib dan bik mama di muka depan utusan hari ni..
  2. pak cik sahak ni spm gred 2...dapat je spm terus keje...dah berpuluh2 tahun keje barulah timbul semangat nak amek ijazah...dah abes ijazah sambung sarjana...betapa tingginya semangat pak cik sahak ni...respek!!!
  3. pak cik sahak ni sepupu bapak aku..kira pak cik aku..tu yg lagi bangga tu...btol ar kata orang...orang minang ni berjiwa besar, bersemangat tinggi dan intelek... hahahahaha... aku berdarah minang... hahaha..okla..selamat..

Towering Malaysian-Datuk Chan Chew Lun

With all the political bullshit going on in this country...the mudslinging..poison pen letters... MCA holding its party election...UMNO with its nominations...the political shenanigans are in full-force in Malaysia, tanah tumpah darahku...you know the funny thing is that the MCA acknowledging the fact that they must change...however why is Chua Soi Lek is on the ballot for deputy president? judging from his libido and mojo he will win hands down!

Umno or its real name UMNO BARU is experiencing the same paradox..they want to change and yet muhammad muhammad taib is offering himself for the VP post ...emmm..interesting... Don't let me get started on MIC..It's seem that they suddenly cease to exist...With significant numbers of Indians joining PAS via Kelab Penyokong Pas..MIC is dying or already dead...and Samy Vellu..well just put it this way...Samy is being Samy...

In my opinion...there are 3 major problems with this country...UMNO,MCA and MIC...you put them together you get RACIAL POLITICS...the root of all that's wrong with this country...well let me it clear to all you BN ultras...MALAYSIAN ARE SICK AND TIRED OF RACIAL POLITICS...IF THE 2008 ELECTION WERE FREE AND FAIR RACIAL POLITICS WILL BE ALREADY DEAD AND BURIED...comprende?crystal?

With all these politician sulliying Malaysian Politics...one Malaysian stood above the rest..and made Malaysia proud that man is Datuk Chan Chew Lun...you see Datuk Chan is a naturalist based in KK... and the worlds longest insect is named after him "Phobaticus Chani" or Chan's Megastick...

"Chan said he had been collecting all types of stick insects since 1981 and had even written a number of articles about the creatures. He would go out to meet villagers and ask them to obtain specimens of the insect for him.

“One day in 1989, I met a farmer who handed over this huge stick insect he found somewhere at Ulu Moyog in Penampang district and I realised that it could be a totally new species,” he said.

He eventually sent the specimen to Bragg late last year. It resembled a pencil-thin dark green bamboo shoot measuring nearly 56cm if its twig-like legs were counted. Its body length was 35cm, beating the previous record held by Phobaeticus kirbyi."

Datuk Chan received global recognition not by poison-pen letters or mudslinging but via hardwork, dedication and doing something that he loves...DATUK CHAN CHEW LUN, I salute you!!

I blog therefore I am...

salam...
It is a known fact that blog is short for web log...From what i know a log is like a journal of a ship captain on a voyage...e.g:"captain's log 19/10/2008"..sort of an old version of the black box.......however why is it called "log"... why don't just call it captain's journal...
in the quest of getting an answer to this irritating question, I ask the wisest man I know..the man said to me..."it is because in the old days the captain wrote his journal on a log..that's why it is called "log"...
well that makes sense...however what I'm thinking right now is the fact that if this wise man is pulling my leg,he surely pulled yours...hahaha
